What should I be able to do?
•Design and concieve new and viable game play propositions including aspects like, the look, feel, characters and physical environments.
•Supervise the process of the project and be able to report back on it's progress fully.
•Be able to formulate multidiemensional designs of a game in order to communicate your idea fully.
•Co-ordinate team members by considering project management and task prioritisation.
•Understand the limitations of the Programmers and Artists and make realistic changes accordingly.
What skills should I have?
•Be able to put together game concepts quickly including diagrams, drawings and well thought out planning.
•Technique, Passion, Foresight, Diplomacy, Organised, Time Management Skills, Well under Pressure, Good with Computers and Troubleshooting, Professional, Realistic, Adaptable.
•Verbal and Written Communication skills.
•A good understanding of the Gaming Industry, including what's popular, what makes games good/bad and how games work.
What qualifications should I have?
•Bachelors Degree in a Art related course (Fine Art, Graphic Design etc.)
•Considerable experience in the industry (usually 5 years plus).
•An extensive portfolio, showing originality and a passion for the related subject.
What are my Roles and Responsibilities?
•Consult with managers and clients about projects.
•To motivate the DesignTeam and ensure they're working to the best of their abilities.
•Develop and maintain the schedule of the project and ensure that it runs dilligently and on budget.
•Work effectively and professionally with the Programming and Art teams to ensure your ideas are feasible.
