What should I be able to do?
•Supervise the technical process of the current project and be able to report back on it's progress fully.
•Strive and work towards ways to improve the technical side to your project.
•Co-ordinate team members by considering project management, task prioritisation and risk assesment.
What skills should I have?
•Extensive understanding of Programming Languages such a C and C++
•Logic, Patience, Technique, Passion, Foresight, Diplomacy, Organised, Time Management Skills, Well under Pressure, good with computers and troubleshooting, Mathematical,
•Verbal and Written Communication skills.
What qualifications should I have?
•Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science, Physics or Maths.
•Considerable experience in the industry (usually 5 years plus).
•High level of programming skill.
What are my Roles and Responsibilities?
•Consult with managers and clients about projects.
•To motivate the Engineering Team and ensure they're working to the best of their abilities.
•Develop and maintain the schedule of the project and ensure that it runs dilligently and on budget.
•Monitor the technicalities of the game, making sure it runs as smoothly as possible.
•Indentify, track and manage technical risks.
What's my Work Environment?
•This may vary depending on what company you're working for, usual the role of the Lead Engineer can be a stressful and taxing one. You'll need to plan ahead and be able to think things through logically, with the best intrest of not only the game but your team in mind.
